Stressful situations are unavoidable in life, but it’s how we react to the stress that really matters. Do you shrug off a rude shop assistant or a long traffic jam or does it stay with you, eating into your peace of mind? There are many things we cannot change but if we change our mindset and our way of thinking it can make all the difference. Think back on a stressful situation – note down how you felt. Did the stress help motivate you at all or was it an unhelpful emotion? Can you use it to change things in the future – i.e. could you leave earlier or go a different way – or is there a way you can learn to breathe through it and submit to the universe.
Is there a mantra that could help you as you try to navigate this new way of being?
