It is so easy to forget that we are all connected, one person’s good or bad mood can travel from person to person. Someone refusing to let you in in traffic could anger you and make you do the same to someone else, while someone buying the next person in line a coffee could brighten that person’s day immeasurably, causing them to pass on that generosity in their day. When life is hard, it is easy to think only of our own emotions and to allow a dark cloud to settle that we then take out on everyone we meet. And yet, when you can be that light in the darkness, the spark of positivity, you bring clarity and joy into someone else’s world.
Write down three ways you can be a light in the dark today.
