Trusting yourself

Intuition is one of the most powerful human instincts, designed initially to keep us safe, it still functions as a vital warning system when your mind is working too hard to see what’s right in front of you. It’s a kind of ‘knowing’, a gentle persuasion that something needs attention. All too often we ignore our intuition, and only with hindsight can we look back and see that the warning signs were not only there, but that we saw them, and ignored them.

In your journal, think back to a time when you ignored your intuition and the consequences that followed. Then look to a time when you used your intuition to good effect – note down how you felt in that moment, your head, your heart, your body.  Compare the experiences, what can you do next time this inner voice comes to your aid.
