Day 3: Commitment

STAYING COMMITTED

We read a lot about being motivated and chasing our goals. These things are important, but, as the pace of life increases, so too does our desire for instant results. In the need to achieve something quickly, we can often get derailed on our path to a happier life. Commitment is what keeps us on this path, a sincerity and steadfast dedication to doing whatever we can to reach our goals. Commitment is a combination of the reason behind the goal and a deep understanding of what it will take to get there.

So today, instead of writing down your goals, write down the reasoning behind your goals – the ‘why’; and then also write down how you will achieve it – the ‘what’. Later, as you are working through your goals, you can return to these notes at times of uncertainty and reaffirm your intention and commitment.
