Day 9: Peace
We all crave a little peace. We talk about the busy, noisy chaos of our lives and feel that we are crying out for peace and quiet. Peace is indeed quiet, it is also slow, gentle and soothing. But it’s not just about noise levels and external considerations. Peace starts inside of us all. Real peace is about a stillness of soul and a certainty of spirit, and this only comes when we start to truly connect with who we are. The path to peace lies in simplifying your life, reducing the internal noise and distraction of worry and desire, and listening to what your true self is telling you.
Remembering that your journal is a private, safe space, write down three worries that you return to constantly, and then write down three actions you could take to allay each of these fears. Use these as tasks to work towards as January continues.
